Planned Electricity Interruption –  Tuesday 10th November

Please be advised that our electricity meter will be upgraded on Tuesday 10th November from 8:30am. The work is expected to take approximately two hours.

During this time, our electricity supply will be interrupted, meaning we will be unable to answer telephone calls or provide our usual services.

The upgrade is part of a national programme in line with Government policy and regulatory requirements, supporting the Government’s commitment to reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions and improving energy efficiency.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding.

Veteran Friendly Practice

Being accredited by the Royal College of General Practitioners means that a practice can better identify and treat veterans, refer them, where appropriate, to dedicated NHS services (such as the Veterans’ Mental Health Transition, Intervention and Liaison service (TILS), the Veterans’ Mental Health Complex Treatment Service (CTS) and the Veterans Trauma Network) and capture better data to improve future health provision.

It also means that the NHS is better able to meet the health commitments of the Armed Forces Covenant, which says the Armed Forces community, including veterans, should face no disadvantage in accessing health services and should receive priority care for military attributable conditions, subject to clinical need.

Are you a Veteran?

This time of year can be especially difficult for Veterans, we are conscious some of the numerous military veterans registered with us, may be affected by the upcoming Remembrance weekend. Please, if you are a veteran and are affected by this, know that help is available at the surgery. Our surgery is proud to be accredited as a veteran friendly practice by the Royal College of GP’s. Help is also available via Op Courage the veteran mental health and wellbeing service. If you do not want to come into the Surgery there is other help available:

Combat Stress Helpline – 0800 323 4444
24-hour helpline available to all veterans & their families for confidential mental health & support
